According to Alfa Romeo Automobilisimo Storico, the chassis number AR191884 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider (Tipo 106.01), manufactured on the 20th March 1963 and sold in Surrey UK, on the 17th April 1963.
Delivered new and always remaining in the UK, remarkably this wonderful RHD 2600 Spider by Touring has had just two registered owners since 1963, the last one keeping her for thirty years.
Presented in faultless primrose yellow paint with contrasting claret interior with new chrome, this car presents beautifully and with a full mechanical preparation this motor car performs as well as it looks.
The 2600 was the last Alfa Romeo powered by their legendary straight-six engine and this Spider, complete with its original triple Solex PHH carburettors, performs smoothly with pace and effortless torque.
Superleggera coachwork by the legendary Carrozziera Touring of Milano combined with Alfa Romeos wonderful motor resulted in a wonderful luxury machine, Touring by name and nature.
Our 2600 Spider was carefully restored a number of years ago by its previous engineer owner with little use since completion. We have carried out a comprehensive preparation including a suspension and brake overhaul in addition to rebuilding the triple Solex Carburettors and throttle linkages as well as carrying out a major service to ensure it is turn key and ready. The result is a marvellous motor car which is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.
