According to Alfa Romeo Automobilisimo Storico, chassis number AR 710351 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider RHD, manufactured in 1967 and sold to Alfa Romeo London.
This beautifully original Duetto was sold new in the UK and has had just 3 owners since 1967. This fantastic example has all it's original panels, having been heavily waxoyled from new and periodically through its life including a recent re application.
This Duetto has never needed restoration, having only been painted once two years ago, to refresh faded red paintwork, so it has unmarked correct Pininfarina red paintwork today.
Recently it has benefitted from a rebuild of its original gearbox (which is silent with none of the typical whines or crunches), original engine overhaul, all new front suspension bushes and balljoints, replacement Koni shock absorbers, brake system overhaul, new rear exhaust, new mohair soft top on fully rebuilt and detailed powder coated hood frame.
This Duello is extremely original -correct in every detail, all original parts, not reproduction, original rubber mats in suburb condition, virtually flawless brightwork and it drives superbly and without fault.
This Duetto will stand head and shoulders above all others on the market. Only inspection will confirm the originality and exceptional condition of this car which was featured on the front cover car of November 2014 'Classic Cars' magazine.
