According to Alfa Romeo Automobilisimo Storico, chassis number AR 1456177 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce RHD (105.45), manufactured on the 16th January 1971 and sold on the 20th January 1971 to Alfa Romeo UK, London.
This 1750 GT Veloce has had only two owners from new, the last for over 30 years. It has covered a fully documented 64,000 miles with invoices, owner's notes and all previous MOTs to support, with all instruction manuals and service books too.
This car was a true barn find having been stored indoors and unused for the last 10 years. We have commissioned a full restoration of this car, which is what 1750 with great history file, genuine UK RHD, two owner and low mileage really deserves.
This restoration is well under way and includes full windows out bare metal repaint in Alfa Rosso 501 with new three part sill sections to both sides, replacement lower wing panels all round, new front valance, new from floor pans to both sides, full engine rebuild, gearbox rebuild, new clutch, complete suspension rebuild with all parts powder coated, Eibach springs all round, new Koni shock absorbers new brake system throughout, all new fuel lines and fuel tank and carburettors rebuilt.
The interior is original and was in very good condition so the rear seats will be refitted, the fronts had some cracking so they been re faced to original pattern in leather and retain the original 'basket weave' backs of the 1750 GTV. All new bespoke carpets will be fitted by our trimmer.
On completion this car will be an amazing example of the now ultra rare and desirable 1750 GTV and with the two owner history mileage and documentation will represent a great opportunity to the serious Alfa Romeo collector.
1st May 2015 update: All suspension parts, brakes and drive train are rebuilt and re installed. The engine and gearbox has been refitted, this car is a stunning example and we aim to have it completed by the end of May. Please call for further details.
