Friday 4th October 2013
A Facel Vega formerly possessed by Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is expected to reach approximately £350,000 when it is offered for auction in December.
The Facel II was offered between 1962 and 1964 and only 182 were created. Other renowned owners of the car included Joan Collins, Stirling Moss, Pablo Picasso and Frank Sinatra.
The right-hand-drive Facel II up for sale - body number HK2 B160 - was bought new by Ringo in 1964 for £5,750 and is part of the Bonhams sale in London on December 1.
It was just one of just two with the version's larger 6.7-litre engine and manual gearbox and was the last of only 26 right-hand-drive Facel II ever made.
